Self-described former terrorist Walid Shoebat is to speak Tuesday at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on "Why I Left Jihad." The Journal Sentinel interviewed Shoebat about his background and his views, then asked for a response from Othman Atta, president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee. Here are excerpts from their answers.
